Summer 2020 Update

 

Hello,
 
As you may have heard in the news, overnight camps will not be running this summer. Even though the news is very sad, we believe the government has made the right decision. We know that this news may be difficult for many of your children as they’ve already lost so many of their fun activities. Please let them know we are thinking about them and we miss them too.
 
We plan on calling each family over the next two weeks to talk through the options of refunding, deferring, or donating camp fees. You can find information about each of these options at the bottom of this email. As you can imagine, with over 1000 families already registered, it is going to take us a while, but we promise, we’ll be in touch. We’ll be using office and personal phones to call, so in you may not recognize the incoming phone number.
 
Like our campers, we love summer camp. We plan and pray all year so we can offer two amazing months of adventure, fun, spiritual growth, and community to hundreds of children, teens and young adults. This will be the first time in 35 years that we have not run camp and we are going to miss everyone in more ways than we can express.
 
We’re thinking of some ways we can bring a little camp fun to you and stay connected while you’re home. We’d love your input into what you’d find worthwhile, and hope to talk about some options with you when we call.
 
For now, we’ve been hosting online video challenges. You can find #ranchinthehouse video challenges on Facebook, (like and follow our page if you’d like notifications). We’re also posting some fun activities on our website, check out  [email protected] .
 
Some of you may also have children registered in day camp. We have been in contact with our local governing bodies, and as of yet they are unable to give us any direction about whether we’ll be able to run day camp. We understand that waiting for answers is difficult, and we’ll be sure to communicate with you as soon as we know something.
 
Camp is all about gathering in community and supporting one another like family. We will be together again. In the meantime, please don’t hesitate to reach out to let us know how you are doing. We are holding you in our prayers.

For your information, fee-reversal options available:
 
Defer Payments to 2021 – You may leave your payments with us and we will put them towards a credit for the 2021 season. You will be able to request a full refund at any time until December 2020 if your plans change. To thank you for deferring your payments to 2021, you will pay 2020 fees in 2021. Anyone who defers their payments to 2021 will have the opportunity to pick their 2021 week two weeks before registration officially opens.
Donation – If you are able to turn your registration fees into a full or partial donation, that would be a significant help to us in this very difficult season. Circle Square Ranch is a registered charity, and all donations are receiptable. You’ll receive a charitable tax donation receipt in February 2021. God willing, we are committed to opening camp next year, but we will need support from our community to be able to do so.
Full Refund – In order to manage our finances in this period, we will issue refunds in batches between now and the end July. Our credit card company limits the amount we are able to refund at once, but we’ll get your money back to you as soon as possible. We are asking that you consider donating a small amount (suggested 2%) of your fees to help with credit card processing fees.
